EPICURE connects with European HPC community at EuroHPC User Day in Amsterdam
EPICURE recently demonstrated its HPC optimization capabilities at the EuroHPC User Day in Amsterdam, engaging with over 200 participants from across Europe’s high-performance computing community. The event, hosted at the Eye Film Museum on October 22-23, offered an excellent platform to showcase EPICURE’s contributions to computational optimization.
During the Walk-in Networking session, the project connected with approximately 25 attendees from National Competence Centers (NCCs), Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and various HPC user groups. Discussions centered on EPICURE’s practical applications in fields such as life sciences, astronomy, astrophysics, and fluid mechanics, with particular focus on optimization resources, access procedures, and implementation timelines.
“The strong interest from researchers across multiple scientific domains reinforces the value of EPICURE’s optimization approach,” noted David Vicente, from Barcelona Supercomputing Center, who participated in the networking session. “We received excellent questions about our services and how they can enhance research outcomes across different fields.”
During the plenary sessions, Andrew Emerson from CINECA presented EPICURE’s Application Support for EuroHPC Users, detailing the project’s optimization capabilities.
The event also provided valuable opportunities to connect with complementary EuroHPC initiatives, including CASTIEL & EXCELLERAT2 and MultiXscale, strengthening collaborative ties within the European HPC ecosystem.
