    EPICURE HPC in ARM Architecture Hackathon

    Start

    10:00

    2025/02/04

    End

    18:00

    2025/02/07

    Location
    Braga, Portugal

    The EPICURE HPC in ARM Architecture Hackathon will focus on using HPC in CPUs with the ARM architecture, and it will take place at the INESC TEC’s hub at the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, from 4-7 February 2025.

    The event will include lectures by experts on using ARM architecture in the context of HPC and practical sessions. We will adopt the “Bring Your Code” hackathon type, where the participants will bring code they are using for their research and wish to port or optimize so they can run on ARM CPUs.

    The participants will have access to the ARM partition of the EuroHPC supercomputer Deucalion.

    You can register for this event individually or as part of a team with whom you will work to develop your code.

    Why should you participate?

    Learn about ARM architecture: Follow the emergence of ARM architecture in HPC and Learn how to port your x86 code to run on ARM processors;
    Guidance by expert mentors: Collaborate with top expert mentors who will provide valuable insights and help shape your ideas;
    Connect with the HPC community: Get to know other people with shared interests and develop collaborations;
    Prepare for the future of HPC: Prepare your code for exascale computing in EuroHPC’s Jupiter.

    Who can join?

    This hackathon is open to everyone passionate about technology and HPC areas—whether you’re a student, a researcher, a professional, or part of a company exploring the future of HPC.

    We hope to see you at INESC TEC’s hub at the University of Minho!
